A Continuous Journey

2 minute read

Since packing up the Cavalier and setting sail to Granger Community Church just shy of four years ago, I have experienced more than I could have ever imagined possible when I graduated high school. You can read a quick recap in a previous post about some of the things I’ve gotten to experience since then, but let me preface that read with: there’s a lot that has happened.

The latest of that news included a move to Oklahoma in July 2013 to serve as Web/Interactive Director at JourneyChurch.tv. It’s been an incredible year filled with much laughter, excitement, passion, and pursuit of embracing technology to empower the Kingdom. I got to play a role in leading a digital strategy that allowed for the launch of a new website, praying for hundreds of people through our online campus and social media; I was given the opportunity to lead an effort to deliver daily devotionals via text message to phones every day, helped empower an incredibly talented intern to lean into his web skills, had the chance to lead a group of passionate believers online, plus so much more. It’s been an incredible year that has marked me for eternity.

As this weekend closes out, I continue to lean in to my sporadic and seemingly unguided route by taking another daring step. Sunday evening concludes my time serving as the Web/Interactive Director at JourneyChurch. It has been absolutely phenomenal and I can’t possibly thank my leadership more for the opportunities they have given me as I served in this incredible role. This time has radically shaped and further molded my passion for using technology to change the world.

WHAT’S NEXT?
On Monday September 1st, I pack up the Honda Civic and head south to the Dallas/Fort Worth area through the end of September. During this short season I will be continuing a partnership with the Seed Company as we continue to take their newly launched website to a level that extends beyond what they ever dreamed. If you have never heard of the Seed Company or the work they are doing, I recommend taking a short one minute scroll through this page to learn about their mission. It’s already been an honor walking alongside their team and I am very excited to see what more we can accomplish in this short 30 days.

There is so much more coming, including an opportunity for me to make a move back to Central Florida which allows more partnership opportunities with companies like Stream Monkey who are using technology to equip world changers.

I am beyond excited for what’s coming and I absolutely can’t wait to share as this journey continues.
